The suspects were identified as Thomas Razvickas, 49, a Polish national, and James Chisome, 36, a Nigerian. Police spokesperson, SP Abimbola Adebisi, disclosed their identities in a statement issued on Tuesday.
According to the command, operatives discovered the facility at a residential property at about 8.15 am after receiving what the police described as credible intelligence.
A search of the premises reportedly revealed a sophisticated indoor farming installation equipped for the cultivation, harvesting and processing of substances suspected to be cannabis.
The discovery points to an operation involving more than conventional outdoor cultivation, although the police have yet to disclose the quantity of suspected cannabis recovered, the estimated value of the facility or how long it had been operating.
“The discovery was made on 2nd November 2026 at about 08:15 hrs, following credible intelligence received by operatives of the command,” Adebisi said.
She added that both men lived at the property where the suspected operation was uncovered and were arrested in connection with the discovery.
The police spokesperson said the suspects were in custody and had made statements to investigators, who were working to establish further details about the operation.
“The suspects are currently in police custody, where they have made confessional statements and are providing useful information to aid ongoing investigations,” she added.

The Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Tijani Fatai, subsequently visited the property to inspect the facility and receive a briefing from officers handling the investigation.
Fatai commended the operatives for acting on intelligence and said the command remained committed to tackling drug-related offences and dismantling criminal networks across the state.
He also appealed to residents to provide credible information that could assist security agencies in identifying suspicious activities and preventing crime.
Additional reports on the discovery, including footage of the indoor growing arrangement, described cannabis plants being cultivated in containers under controlled conditions.
Channels Television reported that the plants could take about three months to mature before harvesting.
The development comes amid wider efforts by Nigerian law enforcement agencies to disrupt the cultivation, production and distribution of illicit drugs.
In October, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency reported intercepting cannabis and codeine-based consignments worth more than ₦5 billion at Lagos and Onne ports.
The agency also announced the destruction of more than 20,000 kilogrammes of cannabis on a farm in Osun State.
However, the Lagos Police Command has not announced formal charges against Razvickas and Chisome or disclosed whether further arrests are expected.
