Blessing made the announcement while responding to questions from followers about the status of her relationship with the businessman, revealing that she had decided to heed repeated advice from fans who had encouraged her to walk away.
The media personality said she was now focused on picking up the pieces of her life after ending the relationship, adding that she had come to appreciate the concerns expressed by her supporters.
“Somebody said, are you and IVD still together? No. We are no longer together. We have broken up. Is that not what you guys want? These days, I like to respect my fans,” she said.
She added that many of her followers had repeatedly warned her against remaining with IVD, with some suggesting that the relationship had brought difficulties into her life.
“Everybody says, ‘Leave IVD, IVD is not good for you. He brought you bad luck.’ Trust me, I have left him. Let me pick up the pieces of my life. So, I’m back to the streets as a single mother and a single girl,” she added.
Blessing also appeared to embrace her new relationship status with humour, disclosing that she had been making efforts to maintain her appearance as she prepared to return to the dating scene.
She subsequently invited interested men to approach her through her direct messages, although she made it clear that financial stability would be an important consideration for anyone hoping to win her affection.
“Those of you who want to apply, feel free to apply in my DM, and make sure you have money,” she said.
The influencer also dismissed any suggestion that she would object to IVD pursuing another relationship, saying other women were free to approach the businessman.
“As per IVD, I have left him oh. Anybody that wants to date him, feel free. Make the relationship no go kpai me throway. We are no more together. I’m serious,” she added.
The announcement brings an end to a highly publicised relationship that attracted considerable attention and divided opinions across Nigerian social media.
Blessing and IVD’s relationship became a subject of public discussion following the death of the businessman’s wife, Bimbo Ogbonna, in October 2022.
The relationship had attracted attention even before it became an engagement.
The pair were romantically linked in late 2022, shortly after Bimbo’s death, although Blessing initially faced questions about the nature of her association with the businessman.
Bimbo died in October 2022 following a fire incident at the couple’s residence.
Her death generated widespread public debate, particularly after members of her family accused IVD of domestic abuse and questioned his involvement in the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
IVD was subsequently remanded by a Lagos State Magistrate Court in February 2023 amid investigations into the matter.
Blessing, who had publicly defended him during the controversy, also faced criticism over her comments and disclosures about the late woman’s marriage.
Despite the criticism surrounding their association, Blessing and IVD eventually made their relationship public.
In April 2025, the businessman proposed to her in an intimate ceremony, with Blessing accepting the proposal and announcing their engagement on Instagram.
At the time, she described the relationship as one that brought her peace and expressed her desire to build a future with him.
Their engagement subsequently remained a subject of public interest, with supporters and critics expressing contrasting views about the relationship.
Blessing’s latest announcement, however, signals a significant change in the direction of their relationship, particularly given the public attention that accompanied their journey from friendship and romance to engagement.
She did not provide a detailed account of the circumstances that led to the separation in the video.
Her announcement was primarily centred on her decision to move on, acknowledge her supporters’ concerns and embrace single life.
IVD’s response to the reported breakup was not established in the available reports as of Thursday, November 5.
